Work with us
Interested in doing a project with Jim, Cathy, or both? Send a one-paragraph description of why you want to join the team to galbraithlab@ohsu.edu.
Postdoctoral fellows
We are actively recruiting postdoctoral fellows for multidisciplinary projects in quantitative cell biology, neurobiology, and cancer biology. All projects use cutting-edge microscopy and biophysics.
Students
Graduate students, rotation students, undergraduates, and interns from OHSU and the Portland metro area are welcome.
Summer internships
Led by Jim, our NSF-sponsored summer internship in quantitative biology and biophysics (QBB) brings undergraduates into the lab for hands-on research. Interns define a project, learn wet-lab and programming skills, and meet with us daily. Email us to learn more.
Visiting scientists
We welcome visiting scientists who share our interests and want to come visit and collaborate.
A-maze-ing Cell Races
A free educational game built with our interns. Players learn how cell types differ in directionality, persistence and other migration traits, then choose a cell to race through mazes and test their predictions.
